It’s summer time and the livin’ is easy, but there’s lots going on with our artists. Penny Billings garnered an Honorable Mention for her painting “Meadow’s Edge” in the American Artists Professional League’s first 2017 New York exhibit.
As a whole, Penny’s ethereal works capture the grace, serenity and constantly changing moods of the countryside and the important intersection between light and shadow. Founded in 1928, the mission of the American Artists Professional League is to advance the cause of fine arts in American through the promotion of high standards of beauty, integrity and craftsmanship in painting, sculpture and the arts.
