REBECCA LEER
Leer graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1982 with a BFA in Medical Illustration, began freelancing, and started studying editorial illustration at the Art Academy of San Francisco in 1983. She has received honors and awards for both her paintings and illustrations from Oil Painters of America, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, the Society of Illustrators of New York, Los Angeles Society of Illustrators and the Hudson Valley Artists Association to name a few. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Franklin Institute Museum in Philadelphia and she won the Land of Enchantment Book Award. She teaches oil painting and drawing at the Ridgewood Art Institute, New Jersey, where she is a member of the Board of Trustees.
