KAREN BUDAN

Karen became a full time artist in 2009 following over 30 years as an educator, school superintendent and consultant. Her work is realistic, bordering on photorealism. This style allows her hyper-organized personality to control the subject, composition, lighting and time it takes to create each piece.
“I am not an artist who is trying to make a comment on society, “ Karen says. “I paint because I love the way light reflects off of objects. I want people to see the light and beauty before them in ordinary objects they look at every day.”
